Google Accounts for 60% of Web Searches

What tool of choice do people use when they are looking for information online? These recently published numbers may be of interest to you. According to the Hitwise US (http://www.hitwise.com), the leading real-time competitive intelligence service, Google accounted for nearly 60% of all search engine searches for the month of August, 2006. Yahoo accounted for nearly 23%, while MSN accounted for nearly 12%. The newley rebranded Ask.com came in forth at 3% despite several industry reports of advancement in searching technology.
